Summer will be upon us soon, and one of the first fruits of summer is strawberries. Come celebrate the bountiful 2013 strawberry harvest in Hollis on Sunday, June 23rd, from 2 to 4PM. The warm weather and plentiful rainfall should produce a bumper crop this season.
This annual harvest festival is one of the first outdoor activities of the year. Fresh strawberries, strawberry shortcake and strawberry sauce drenched sundaes will be served while the Hollis Town Band plays old and new favorites. There will also be face painting, a raffle, children’s games, and other refreshments for sale.
The Hollis Strawberry Festival will be held on the Hollis Town Common, Monument Square (where Main Street, Broad Street, and Depot Road meet) in Hollis. In case of rain, the festivities will take place at the nearby Hollis Brookline Middle School, 25 Main Street.
